Cartier International Polo Trip From London to Windsor on Sunday 26th July 2009

You are being invited to join the group for a day at the polo. This is our 4th trip in a row to this very exclusive event. This year will be the 25th year Cartier have sponsored the polo and so the day will be a special anniversary for the event. As in previous years we've hired a Double Decker Bus to take us from London to Windsor. Where members will be free to roam the grounds and take in the biggest polo event in the world. Bring along a picnic and some drinks enjoy the events of the day. Don't forget to bring your camera with you as the event is one of the top social events of the year - in previous years our guests have managed to snap photos of the rich and famous as well as royalty such as princes William and Harry.

Coach leaves London at 9am and departs Windsor approx 6pm returning to a friendly bar in Shepherd's Bush, where you can relax with a drink or get a bite to eat.

Guards Polo Club, located in the stunning surroundings of Royal Windsor Great Park, just 35 miles from central London, is the premier polo club in Europe. It hosts some of the best known and most competitive polo matches in the world and as such attracts over 50,000 spectators throughout the summer season.

Cartier International Day is one of the highlights of the English social calendar and offers two spectacular polo matches, as well as the chance to visit its unique shopping village, where there are often huge bargains to be had.

England vs Argentina
The main match will see the England team play Argentina for the Coronation Cup, which is historically presented by HM The Queen.

This event is quite simply the biggest polo day in the world! Royalty, celebrities and leading players combined with a 25,000 strong crowd make attending this event an experience you’ll never forget. Follow the highs and lows of the players as they gallop across the pitch, ride each other off or turn on a sixpence in pursuit of that all important goal. Remember to visit our Retail Village in between matches for a unique shopping experience.

What's Included in The Package

• Meetup before transport leaves at Bar Linda Cafe (open from 8am) where you can buy tea, coffee or get yourselves breakfast.
• Transportation via Double Decker Bus to and from the event in Windsor from London (Near Baker Street / Marylebone Tube Stations) - Leaving London approx 9am* (departing from Windsor approx 6pm)
• General Admission in Guards Polo Club for the Cartier International Polo Event*

Dress Code

• All areas: Smart casual - no jeans, trainers or sportswear.
• Bar area: No shorts or vests.
• Restaurant: Trousers, collared shirts & jackets (gentlemen)
• This is an outdoor event and all seating is uncovered please dress appropriately for the weather and to be extra sure an umbrella would be a good idea.

What to Bring

• Yourselves of course (and on time please)
• Umbrella or Rainwear (just in case of any showers)
• Picnic - You can bring whatever you like including alcoholic drinks, i.e. cans of beer, bottles of wine, etc - but no BBQ's are allowed. There will also be food stalls and several other places to buy food on the day. Also if you have a special dish you want to share with the rest of the group then that's even better!!
• Don't forget to bring your mobile phone so we can text you any updates throughout the day via a free SMS. (please note GSM network coverage in the actual polo grounds in Windsor is fairly weak for all networks)

After you've booked

• Please bring with you a printout on paper of your successful purchase on EventBrite along with the Google Checkout Receipt and also give a copy to anyone in your group that isn't arriving with you. This along with the credit / debit card you originally used to make your booking is your entry on to the coach - we do not send out tickets, so please remember to bring these with you.

	Meetup Point For Double Decker Bus - Baker Street Where: Bar Linda Cafe 224-226 Baker Street Around Side Exit to Baker Street Tube Station London, NW1 5RT When: Sunday 26th July 2009 - 8:30am onwards ready for departure via coach at 9am Notes: The Cafe serves a range of food and drink including full breakfasts. You can take anyone of five tube lines to Baker Street Tube Station Metropolitan, Jubilee, Bakerloo, Circle and Hammersmith & City. Also Marylebone Station is just around the corner with links to many National Rail Services. After Event - The Old Fire Station Bar Where: The Old Fire Station Bar 244 Shepherds Bush Road Hammersmith London W6 7PL When: Approx: 7:45pm to 8pm (Depending on Traffic from Windsor) The Bus will drop everyone off directly outside the Fire Station Bar which is also directly opposite Hammersmith Tube Station.

* No refund can be made for anyone that does not show up on the day or misses the return ride home at the designated times.

It is up to yourselves to make sure you are not late either getting to the transport as it leaves London for Windsor or on the way back. We will not be able to wait for latecomers so please make sure you arrive on time.

A paper printout of your Eventbrite Ticket + Google Checkout Receipt & Credit Debit card used in the transaction (all three items combined) act as your full proof of purchase and you will need all 3 to gain entry on the day of the trip.

Due to the fact we plan a pub / bar meet up in London afterwards this event is only suitable for over 18's - anyone wanting to bring anyone younger to just the polo part of the trip should contact us in advance first before purchasing a ticket

You may not be allowed to eat or drink on the coach to and from the event (decision made by the driver on the day)

For tickets which do not include grandstand seating we will refund your tickets excluding any EventBrite / Google Checkout / PayPal fee's (max of 4 tickets per customer / group booking) if you cannot make the event and give us at least 14 days notice before the event (i.e. before 9am 12th July 2009) subject to a 20% fee to recover our online processing fees and time involved. In cases where the ticket also includes grandstand seating there will be an additional £10 per ticket fee for refunds.

If you cannot make the event and notify us after this date i.e. after 9am 12th July 2009) we will try our best to resell your places for you and pass on 80% of the price you paid (if we are successful in selling your place and we do not have any left ourselves to sell) In cases where the ticket also includes grandstand seating there will be an additional £15 per ticket fee for refunds assuming we have managed to get another party to purchases the unwanted gradnstand seats.

we reserve the right to refuse transportation to any ticket holders whom we believe to be intoxicated or a danger to other passengers. No refunds will be offered in such cases.

We cannot accept responsibility for any damage, loss or theft that may occur before, during or after the event to any of your belongings, items of food, drink, etc.

We cannot accept responsibility for any injuries that may occur before, during or after the event or during transportation to and from the event. If you require insurance then please make sure you have appropriate travel insurance.

After Party venue details subject to change at any time

We reserve the right to take and use photos and video (including sound) from the event for our website and any futures uses by booking you accept your image and likeness may be captured and used for such purposes.

Meet up and drop off point subject to changes

Please note Guards Polo club themselves reserve the right to withdraw play in extreme circumstances, i.e. extremely heavy down pours, terrorist alerts, etc If this happens they reserve the right to cancel the event without refunds, etc. If the club themselves cancels the event on the actual day we cannot offer refunds. If the club cancels the event with at least 2 days notice (i.e. before 9am 24th July 2009) we will give our ticket holders a full refund excluding any booking fees and also minus 30% to recover our online transaction fees and admin costs.

** Please note if for any reason we cannot get hold of your fully paid for Grandstand seats we will get you better seats at no extra cost, or offer you a full refund on the cost of those seats.
